Whether joining friends for a walk at sunrise or painting the sunset, nothing is missing in the way of pleasant pastimes. Bethea's social calendar includes monthly birthday celebrations, bus excursions to local theaters and shops, and scheduled activities in the "Gathering Place."

A full-time community coordinator thoughtfully plans and implements community activities to meet the social, recreational, and spiritual needs of all Bethea residents. On site residents enjoy an exercise facility, game room, chapel, activity room for the Wii, fishing pond, walking trail, sewing room, and library. Bethea Baptist Retirement Community has an on site activities director who offers many on- and off-site activities during the week. A monthly activities calendar is published for the residents and their families to stay informed of coming events. The “Bethea Singers” is a Senior Choir group of Bethea residents, who sing for many local and statewide churches. Often, Bethea takes trips to different events such as the “Iris Festival” or local Gospel concerts. There are certain set activities, like Bingo, chapel, movie night and aerobics, that are offered throughout the week.
